Octagon 2018 Now Leads our List

We welcome Octagon 2018 to head our List of current vintages. Upholding the striking success achieved by several other winery favorites - Vermentino, Viognier, Nascent, Nebbiolo, and the yet-to-be-released Paxxito - from the most challenging growing season of recent times, Octagon 2018 now succeeds Octagon 2017 in our Tasting Rooms, Palladio Restaurant, and online, with the 2017 being retired for further aging before joining our Cellar List next year. The critic’s tasting report from JamesSuckling.com in December, 2021 introduces Octagon 2018 as follows:

95 Points. Overturned earth and dark fruit drive the nose, with fresh and dried herbs as well. Full-bodied with tight tannins. Very good depth and balance. Well-crafted acidity lets the fruit sing, lifting it up from its more brooding character and breathing life into the palate. Espresso and baking spice add charming complexity. Really impressive, given the tribulations of the 2018 vintage.
