A Trans-Bordeaux Tasting, November 14 & 15

We announce an unprecedented tasting in our Library 1821, Saturday and Sunday, November 14-15, inspired by our winemaker Luca Paschina’s presentation of Octagon 2010 in this year’s Vinexpo in Bordeaux. Our founder's son Francesco Zonin (center) and winemaker Federico Giovannetti (right) from the Zonins' Tuscan estate, Rocca di Montemassi, joined Luca to present our Bordeaux blends from the Old World and the New. While in Bordeaux, we met another Vinexpo participant from St Émilion, Château Lassègue, whose wine reveals a striking similarity to Octagon, being structured predominantly by Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

We will be pouring the wines of all 3 estates at our Trans-Bordeaux tasting, to explore beyond words the influences of soils, climate, and wine grape genetics, on wines grown to reveal the best of their region of origin. Offered both days, 11:00am to 4:00pm, the tasting is $30 per person, and no reservation is required. Culinary accompaniments will be available at standard Library price.
