Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
Our rarest wine, the Reserve Cabernet will age at great length and respond to the highest demands for varietal expression. The wine is based on a grape selection identified by long experience as the finest for our growing region, and grown in specially selected small vineyard blocks. It is aged at least a full year in old and new French oak barriques crafted for us in Piemonte, Italy.

We were fortunate to enjoy an excellent to outstanding growing season in 2017. This 20th consecutive harvest under viticulturist Fernando Franco rewarded us with a beautiful crop. The season started with an early bud-break followed by ideal gentle Spring rains, which supported good bloom for the clusters. The early Summer was warm, never becoming hot, and the grapes ripened with good speed. We started harvesting in perfect conditions with Moscato on August 8th, and finished on October 8th with this Cabernet Sauvignon. All varietals showed great character, making this harvest reminiscent in style of 2007 and 2014, and among the best we have experienced.
