Viognier Reserve
Planted widely now in many regions of Virginia, Viognier evolves so vividly in our Piedmont terroir that we were the first to abandon oak and malolactic fermentation to reveal the complexity within its warm climate sultriness, and the vitality of middle palate sustaining its floral opulence. A wine of full body and adaptability with game as well as the traditional pairings of fish, shellfish, poultry and Asian cuisine.

We will be celebrating this year’s growing season for many years to come, for giving us white wines of great intensity and fragrance, and reds of unquestionably long age-worthiness. The whole season was ideal, from a frost-free spring with abundant moisture, to a summer with moderate rainfall and steady warm temperature building to extended, emphatic heat, with clear skies permitting optimum pacing of picking in the early fall.
