Petit Verdot Reserve 2019

$ 40.00
FORMATS AND VINTAGES

The distinctively darkly colored and assertively tannic blending varietal of Bordeaux, cultivated here originally for its contribution to Octagon and with those strict standards, our Petit Verdot has shown itself able to satisfy a winelover’s taste for rich, earthy dark berry flavors and great palate length. Produced in this way in limited volume, the wine is capable of extended cellar life, and benefits from several years in bottle.

VINTAGE FACTORS

Cellar life 30 years

Following a challenging 2018, this vintage is a beautiful gift to the faithful farmer. We will be celebrating this year’s growing season for many years to come, for giving us white wines of great intensity and fragrance, and reds of unquestionably long age-worthiness. The whole season was ideal, from a frost-free spring with abundant moisture, to a summer with moderate rainfall and steady warm temperature building to extended emphatic heat, with clear skies permitting optimum pacing of picking in the early fall.
